PhD Scholarships Public Transport Priority Research phd jobs



Scholarship Description

Development of improved approaches for traffic priority design to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of on-road public transport. Research will identify how to optimise the design of individual and groups of priority treatments and will generate diagnosis tools to better target priority treatments. The research will include compilation of data on the performance of priority initiatives in the field and assessment of approaches to priority using traffic micro-simulation modelling. Research Field: Public Transport. (This is an Australian Research Council Linkage Project.)

This scholarship is offered once only to 2 people. Open for applications from June 17, 2010 until July 30, 2010.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD27220 (per annum). This award is to be used for research. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Civil engineering. It is required that your study starts no earlier than July 30, 2010 and no later than November 30, 2010.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
