Scholarship Description: The Phd Jobs research group focuses on understanding the physiological mechanisms involved in sexual maturation in fish, particularly salmonids. As in other vertebrates, reproduction in fish is governed by endocrine axis - brain-pituitary-gonad (BPG axis). At the onset of sexual maturity gonadotropin-releasing hormone is produced by neurons in the brain stimulates the synthesis and release of pituitary gonadotropins, that promotes the gonadal development and graduate training steroidogenesis. http://www.callforpapersinfo.com
